Permission to Serve Alcohol

An approved and fully insured service company must serve alcoholic beverages. Such insurance coverage shall provide one million dollar liquor liability insurance coverage for each event. A Certificate of said insurance shall be provided to the Pequitside Sub-Committee 21 days prior to the event date. The insurance certificate must name the Town of Canton as a co-insured and include the following statement: "and the Town of Canton as its interests may appear..."

The event sponsor shall make arrangements directly with the service company of his/her choice and shall be solely responsible for any and all payments to the company. The approved service company shall be responsible for ensuring that all alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with the rules, regulations and By-Laws of the Town of Canton, Conservation Commission and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Rules
  • All sponsor / users will be required to submit this application for approval to the Pequitside Sub-Committee
  • All alcohol served at an event must be served on an open bar basis and by a fully trained professional bartender who is "Tip Certified"
  • There can be no cash bar(s)
  • All alcohol must be consumed in the Main House or inside a facility tent rented for the event
  • All alcohol service must cease one hour prior to last scheduled hour of event
