One Day Event License Applications

The Board of Selectmen issues permits for one day events where alcohol is being served.  Applications should be completed and submitted to the office of the Board of Selectmen, along with payment of the $50.00 fee for the permit, at least three weeks in advance of the date of the event,

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires an inspection of the premises for which a one-day special alcohol permit has been requested.  The inspection must be performed by both the Building Department and the Fire Department every time a permit is requested.  A $40.00 fee is required to perform this inspection.  The fee should be paid to the Building Department.  The one-day alcohol permit cannot be issued until a satisfactory inspection has been completed.  The Commonwealth of Massachusetts also requires that all alcohol for one-day events be purchased from a Massachusetts Authorized Source.  Please see list of authorized sources below.  

The Board of Selectmen also issues permits for one day events with entertainment.  Applications should be completed and submitted to the office of the Board of Selectmen, along with the payment of the $40.00 fee for the permit, at least three weeks in advance of the date of the event.
