The Board of Selectmen is seeking residents interested in serving
as a community member on the Community Preservation Committee. All
interested candidates should send letters of interest and resume, to the
attention of Canton Board of Selectmen, 801 Washington Street, Canton,

bfriel@town.canton.ma.us by Wednesday November 21, 2012. Committee
responsibilities are summarized and posted on Town Home page under the
General By-Laws Article XVI Section 19.

Washington Street Road Work
Beginning on or about Monday September 17 the roadway from the
intersection of Wahington St and Randolph St to the intersection of
Washington Street and Sassamon St will be closed to thru traffic.
Local access will be limited and traffic will be diverted on Randolph

Water Main Work
On Friday, September 14th, at
approximately 9:00 am, the water department will be shutting
the water off to install a new gate valve at the
intersection of Washington Street and Sassamon Street. You
may experience low water pressure, discolored water or no
water at your property while the work is being done. When
the job is complete, water will be returned to full
pressure. If you have any questions, please call

Hydrant Flushing Notification
The Canton Water
Department will continue their hydrant flushing program the
week of September 10th between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00
pm in the area off Washington Street between Randolph Street
and Rte. 138. You may experience discolored water during
this time. Please use caution driving in these areas. If
you have any questions, please call 781-821-5017.
