Public Notice
The Canton
Board of Selectmen is proud to announce the award of a $1.8 million
grant to the assist with the reconstruction and streetscape improvements
to Canton Center. The largest PWED grant awarded thus far, Lieutenant
Governor Healey and other state officials commented on the thoroughness
of Canton’s application, and praised them for their persistence in
pursuing the grant. This Public Works Economic Development (PWED) grant
will fund improvements to Canton Center that include new concrete and
brick sidewalks, street trees, historic lighting, and “welcome” signs.
The improvements are expected to encourage more open space for Canton
Center, Forge Pond, and the Canton River, as well as continue the
ongoing downtown economic revitalization
