The Town of Canton Board of Selectmen will once again offer to Canton
senior citizens the “Senior Citizen Tax Credit Program”. Applicants for
the program must be residential property owners in the Town, and also be
sixty (60) years of age or older. The program affords seniors the
opportunity to work for the community in various specific, temporary,
part-time service areas. In exchange, the Town will provide residential
property tax credit up to $675.00 per year.
Participants will be credited at the hourly rate of up to $6.75 per hour
with a maximum of 100 hours established annually.

Washington Street, lower level) or call (781) 828-1323. Applications
must be submitted by March 12, 2004 to the attention of Diane
Tynan-Corleto, Director, Council on Aging, 660 Washington Street,
Canton, MA 02021.
All program participants will be required to complete a financial
disclosure form. Applicants must enclose a copy of the most recent tax
bill.
