Construction Photos

In order to prepare for the upcoming winter, through your support, we have begun to repair the most vulnerable sections of the structure.

 Preservation carpenters from Yankee Steeplejack Company from Canton, place new support beams in place under the oldest section of the house. This part of the Tilden House was built as early as 1709. The new beams will temporarily support the building until a permanent fix can be planned.

  
 

Before work begins; a very distressed corner. New supports will be placed within the house, and new cornerboards will replace the rotted sections.
