Election and Appointment

Continuity of service provides wisdom of experience, but change provides the necessary infusion of new ideas.

Members of the Canton Public Library Board of Trustees are elected at municipal elections for a three-year term.

If a vacancy occurs prior to the expiration of a trustee's term, a new member may be nominated and elected by a composite vote of the Board of Trustees and Board of Selectmen to complete the unexpired term.
