PRINCESS SLEEPOVER AT THE LIBRARY!

As the soft glow of the royal blue lights bathed the exterior of the castle, 50 princesses from distant lands gathered at the main gate to convene for an evening of fun and regal celebration.  The staff was in high order and accompanying the princesses were their ladies in waiting - once princesses themselves. The look of amazement and joy on their faces was only surpassed by our hearts being warmed by so many polite and proper "ladies" each enjoying wand making, tea parties, a visit to the Royal Hall to hear King Carl spin his magical tales, and a delightful movie about a certain princess who stayed awake past midnight.   By 10:30 in the evening, the young princesses drifted off to the land of nod and dreamed of magical worn out slippers, and a boisterous "pea".

As the library gently awoke in the light of dawn, the magic rubbed from their eyes, the princesses consumed large quantities of royal carbs and went back to their individual kingdoms with warmest of smiles and happiest of hearts.

"Princesses walk gracefully; they never run. Princesses speak in soft pleasant voices; they never shout! All princesses know how to share and take turns politely. Princesses say "Please", "Thank you very much," and "Excuse me," and "Would you be so kind?"  Most importantly, princesses are always nice to everyone!

Every group will get to do all the activities we have planned tonight.  You will "Be Our Guests" at a special tea party in Belle's Royal Tea Room.  You will all make crystal bead bracelets in Cinderella's Craft Corner. You will get to hear princess stories in Snow White's Fairytale Forest and play princess games in Ariel's Enchanted Grotto, where Ariel keeps all her interesting trinkets from around the world.

Finally, you those of you who have planned to stay with us, will sleep in the royal chamber hall after watching a movie about a princess who stayed up too late!

We hope you all have a wonderful time at our Princess Party!"

Library Queen Ann reads the rules of courtly behavior to the initiate princesses.

Volunteer Fairy Godmothers helped to light the way for the young princesses by modeling
true princess behavior.

What's a tea party without delicious sweet treats?

Some lords came to be among the royalty, some just enjoyed the cookies.
