We hope that you will join us in welcoming Rosie Moore as the newest member of the Children's Library Staff. Teri has broad and deep knowledge of children's literature and has managed Teri's Tots Playgroup in her home in Canton. She has served as a parent volunteer in the Hansen School. We are happy and proud to have Teri as part of the Library team serving the children of Canton.
The summer reading clubs begin on June 27th this summer. Our theme is "One World, Many Stories".
Summer Reading Rules
After reading five (5) books, you will receive a log book to record your titles read. The books on your log should be books that you read this summer, and should be on your grade level or above. After you receive your log, each sticker awarded will represent five (5) books read. As a guideline for longer books, each 20 pages may be counted as one (1) book.
The Read to Me! program is designed for children who cannot yet read themselves. Once they have registered fro the reading program and have completed five books that have been read to them by a parent, sibling, babysitter, etc., they can add one sticker to their reading log. The reading log remains at the library, and more stickers are added as books are completed.
Friday, August 5th is the last day to record books for Summer Reading logs.
On Friday August 12th at 10:30 am, there will be a Summer Reading Party for children who have participated in the program.
