Closure of Town Offices to the Public

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak Town offices will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until further notice.  The offices are operating on an essential basis with minimum staff.  The public is encouraged to use phone, email, and on line services.  Please use the website for contact information on various departments.  For drop off of any essential physical materials, there will be a drop box located inside the vestibule at the Sherman Street side entrance.  The drop box will be available Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Starting March 30, 2020 Building Department Inspectional Services will be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  Please see the CoronaVirus Webpage for additional information

    Change of date for Local Town Election

    Due to the current State of Emergency and the Governor’s stay at home order, the Board of Selectmen has voted to move the local town election to Tuesday June 16, 2020. Read on...
  2. Winter Moratorium on Street Excavations Extended

    The Town of Canton Public Works Superintendent is extending the winter moratorium on digging on Town Property. There will be no Street Excavations before April 7, 2020.

    As a reminder to all residents, help keep our sewer pipes clean and only flush the 3 P’s: Paper, Pee and Poo. Everything else belongs in the TRASH, including “flushable wipes” Posting on Sewer Use
  2. Pine Street Recycling Center

    The Pine Street Recycling Center will be closed until further notice. Residents are also reminded to have all trash and recycling bins out by 7 am on your respective pickup day.
