Given the constraints imposed by proper protocols to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are offering parking stickers to be sold through a mail-in random drawing process.  Applications are available at the Sherman Street Town Hall Vestibule or by downloading the application

Governor Baker’s Reopening Plan

On May 18 Governor Baker released a report providing some detail about how businesses and other entities in Massachusetts will be allowed to reopen in the coming weeks and months.  Residents and Businesses are encouraged to visit the following webpage with links to the various State provided reopening standards and guidelines - Reopening Massachusetts.

Governor Baker’s Face Covering Order

Effective May 6,2020, Governor Baker issued an order requiring individuals to wear face coverings in public places. Further guidance has been issued by the Department of Public Health pursuant to that Order to further clarify who is required to wear face coverings or masks and any exceptions.

Any person who is in a place open to the public in the Commonwealth, when unable to maintain a distance of approximately six feet from every other person, shall cover their mouth and nose with a mask or cloth face covering. This order applies to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Exceptions include children under the age of 2 and those unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition.

Face coverings are required at all times when:
 Inside or waiting in line outside of grocery stores, pharmacies, and other retail stores;
 Providing or using the services of any taxi, car, livery, ride-sharing, or similar service;
 On any form of public transit, including train or bus; and
 In an enclosed or semi-enclosed transit stop or waiting area.

Extension of Tax Deadlines

The Board of Selectmen and Treasurer/Collector Randy Scollins would like to inform residents that the Town is extending the due date for real estate, personal property, motor vehicle excise, and water/sewer bill payments.  Please click here to see the complete posting

Final Water Bill Request

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are unable to send meter readers out to take a final reading.  Please click here to complete the online form and the office staff can prepare a Final Bill for you

Closure of Town Offices to the Public

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak Town offices will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until further notice.  The offices are operating on an essential basis with minimum staff.  The public is encouraged to use phone, email, and on line services.  Please use the website for contact information on various departments.  For drop off of any essential physical materials, there will be a drop box located inside the vestibule at the Sherman Street side entrance.  The drop box will be available Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  and Friday’s till 1 p.m.  Please see the CoronaVirus Webpage for additional information
