[ARCHIVED] Eversource - New Electric Bill Design

From Eversource Community Relations & Economic Development department:

I am pleased to share that beginning this week Eversource will introduce our residential and small business customers in Eastern Massachusetts to our newly designed, full-color bill with a modern look and feel.
Created with direct customer feedback, our new bill design offers a simplified presentation that makes key information, like the amount due and due date, easier to find. Other improvements include a graph that clearly displays supply and delivery charges, and a usage summary that customers can use to help them better understand and manage their energy use and costs. Similarly, the charges and line items our customers are accustomed to have not changed and are prominent on the bill.
Approximately 80 percent of our customers in Eastern Massachusetts will receive the new bill when it is introduced this week. Our remaining customers receive more complex bills, such as those with multiple accounts and demand usage, and will continue to receive the existing format until they are phased into the new design.
We look forward to sharing these enhancements with customers in a variety of ways, first and foremost, with communications included with their new bill. This includes an eye-catching colorful graphic directly on the billing envelope that will run for the next few months, a bill insert that highlights key elements of the new format, and supporting web pages on Eversource.com. In addition, we’ll be launching a digital campaign with banner ads and conducting traditional and social media outreach to drive awareness of this change.
Our Call Center Representatives are also well-versed in these updates and look forward to answering any questions about the new bill that our customers may have.
We plan to introduce our customers in the western part of the state to this new format in mid-November, and will follow a similar communications plan for that roll out as well.

This new bill design is part of our ongoing work to provide customers with an improved, easy and time-saving experience, and I look forward to sharing more enhancements with you in the future.
